Data Deletion & Account Closure

1. Overview
CVST SkillHub respects your right to be forgotten. This document outlines how to request deletion, what data is removed, and what records we must retain for legal purposes.
2. How to Request Deletion
- Submit a ticket via the in-app support panel or email support@skillhub.edu using the subject “Account Deletion”.
- Include the email tied to your CVST SkillHub account and confirm that you understand deletion is irreversible.
- We verify ownership through a secure link or 2FA challenge.
Requests are processed within 7 business days. Enterprise learners should coordinate with their organisation admin before submitting a deletion request.
3. What Gets Deleted
- Profile data, preferences, device associations.
- Learning progress, quiz attempts, badges, and AI detection logs tied to your ID.
- Messages and comments unless they are needed to preserve classroom context (in which case they will be anonymised).
- Downloads and cached Skill-Up media stored on our CDN.
4. Data We Must Retain
Payment records, invoices, and audit logs may be preserved for up to 7 years to comply with tax, anti-fraud, or sector-specific regulations. These records are segregated and not used for product decisions.
5. Reactivation
Once deleted, accounts cannot be restored. You may register again, but historical data will be unavailable.
